Art as a form of research.
What happens when art doesn't escape from reality, but actively connects with it? Together with artist and printmaker Michael Drennan, we have created an edition that draws from the worlds of cosmology, physics, and computer science. These fields act as the starting point for his work, opening up a space where imagination and reality finally meet.
For Drennan, the print is both a medium and a metaphor. Each step of his process reveals the interplay between matter, structure, and observation. It is a way of working that mirrors scientific thinking: precise, repetitive, and constantly searching. Every motif is an experiment, a visual translation of scientific principles into form, texture, and movement.
This series offers a unique perspective on the structure and order of our world. It presents art as a legitimate form of research, giving us a chance to look at what is real through a completely different lens.
